Ukrainian forces are reported to have launched a new incursion into Russia's Kursk border region, where Kyiv officials had hoped to gain leverage in peace negotiations. Russian military Telegram channels reported that Ukrainian troops breached the Russian border near the village of Tetkino.

A Ukrainian drone attack on a car in Russia’s Kursk region killed two women, Governor Alexander Khinstein said in a post on Telegram. He said a 53-year-old man was also killed when an explosive device was dropped onto his car.

Ukrainian forces launched a strike on the Strela factory in Suzemka, Bryansk region, near the Ukraine-Russia border, leaving the facility largely destroyed, according to Bryansk governor Alexander Bogomaz.
