Des Moines Public Schools walked into work together May 1 in honor of International Workers Day and to protest cuts to education.

A BIA agent who interviewed Emily Pike in 2023 said the 13-year-old could not answer questions about the attack, according to records shared with The Republic.

The town hall, headlined by Pete Buttigieg, is scheduled for May 13 in Cedar Rapids and is open to the public.
