FORT WORTH – Scottie Scheffler gave his sizable Charles Schwab Challenge gallery the kind of third-round charge it wanted to see on Saturday morning. Scheffler played his first 11 holes at Colonial Country Club in seven-under par, reducing his 10-shot overnight deficit on the leaders to just three at one point.

Ben Griffin and Matti Schmid matched each other again, and will go into the final round at Colonial tied four strokes ahead of the field.
