Reddit has filed a lawsuit against artificial intelligence company Anthropic, accusing it of illegally scraping user comments to train its AI chatbot, Claude. Anthropic, however, denies wrongdoing.

Social media platform Reddit sued the artificial intelligence company Anthropic on Wednesday, alleging that it is illegally “scraping” the comments of millions of Reddit users to train its chatbot Claude.

According to the complaint, Anthropic has resisted entering a licensing agreement even as it trained its Claude chatbot on Reddit content, despite assuring last July it had blocked its bots from accessing Reddit's platform.
