米Netflixは5月19日（現地時間）、米非営利団体Sesame Workshop制作の子ども向け人気番組「Sesame Street」（セサミストリート）の次のシーズンのコンテンツを、今年後半にNetflixでグローバルに配信すると発表した。

５６年の歴史をもつ米国の代表的な子供向け教育番組『セサミストリート』（ＳｅｓａｍｅＳｔｒｅｅｔ）が既存のチャンネルとの契約満了で制作中止の危機に直面し、ストリーミング会社ネットフリックスと新しい契約を結んだ。
