TAMPA — Rays manager Kevin Cash saw Junior Caminero struggling a bit at the plate, going 1-for-his-last-17 and hitting under .200 over the previous three weeks. So, Cash sat the third baseman Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s off day to give him a chance “to reset himself a little bit.”

Junior Caminero provided all of the Rays’ offense this evening, as his three-run blast in the first inning, his ninth on the season, was enough offense to lead Tampa Bay to a 3-1 victory. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. would supplant a Shane Baz slider into the left field pavilion for the Blue Jays’ lone run.

The Tampa Bay Rays offense didn't do much after the first inning, but Junior Caminero's three-run homer in the opening stanza was enough to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 on Saturday night. The Rays have now won four games in a row.
