Campbell entered the season as one of baseball's top prospects and was named Boston's starting second baseman after an impressive spring.

Ahead of the Red Sox's home series against the Atlanta Braves, rookie infielder Kristian Campbell was seen taking reps at first base. This comes after designated hitter Rafael Devers said he would not be open to moving to the position.

Campbell did first-base drills before Friday's game in Boston while Mayer prepared for his sixth start at second for Triple-A Worcester.
