自動運転技術を手がけるウェイブ（Wayve）とライドシェア大手のウーバーは、英国ロンドンでレベル4完全自動運転車の公道実証実験を実施すると発表した。 この発表により、英国はウーバーが自動運転車の実証実験を計画する最大の市場となる。実証実験では、ウェイブの業界最先端の体現型AI技術とウーバーのグローバル・モビリティ・ネットワークを組み合わせ、欧州での自動運転車の大規模展開に向けた重要な一歩となる。

車両の周辺認識から制御まで人工知能（AI）に任せる「End-to-End（E2E）」の自動運転。注目を集める新興企業が英Wayve Technologies（ウェイブ・テクノロジーズ）だ。日産自動車が採用すると発表した。
