Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Prince County in western P.E.I., upgrading its earlier severe thunderstorm watch. "Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts,

"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, heavy rain is still possible with this thunderstorm," says the NWS Raleigh NC. The warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m.

At 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, the NWS Raleigh NC released a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 8:30 p.m. for Montgomery and Stanly counties.
