Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz is staying behind in Toronto as his teammates travel to Florida for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Friday against the Panthers.

The Maple Leafs have not provided any formal update on Stolarz's condition since he was removed from Game 1 on Monday night.

The Leafs backup was also called up to start during Toronto's 2024 playoff run. He stepped in for an injured Ilya Samsonov to help the Leafs win Games 5 and 6 of their first-round series against the Bruins, then was sidelined by his own injury during the team's Game 7 loss.
