Boston Red Sox rookie starting pitcher Hunter Dobbins made it clear that his loyalty to his team runs deep. While speaking to Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald, Dobbins declared that he would never play for the rival New York Yankees after growing up rooting for the Red Sox.

After declaring he’d rather retire than play for the Yankees, Hunter Dobbins came through in his first start in the Bronx. The Red Sox bats also hit five home runs to pick up the series win.
